Lancashire Man Wins Compensation for Tripping Accident

Mr P was a 39 year old joiner from Skelmersdale, Lancashire. he was walking along a footpath heading back to his home when he tripped and fell on an uneven paving slab. It was one of many slabs protruding above the general level of the footpath. As a result of the tripping accident Mr P sustained injuries to his chest. When Mr P attended hospital he was told he had suffered cracked ribs along with soft tissue injuries to his wrist and knee. 

A personal injury claim was commenced against the local council who admitted liability for their breach of duty. A medical report was obtained and forwarded to the local authority. Upon receipt of this, and following some further negotiations, the claim was finally settled without the need to issue Court proceedings.
