Lady Solicitor Personal Injury Claim Lady Justice Old Bailer

Compensation for hypodermic needle injury

Mrs A, a primary school worker, picked up a ball of waste paper. Unknown to her the paper contained a hypodermic needle which unfortunately penetrated her hand.  The offending article had been found in the playground by another member of staff who wrapped it in a paper towel, intended for safe disposal. The client consulted Slee Blackwell Solicitors and we obtained an admission of liability from the defendants

The client had to undergo a range of blood tests to establish whether she had contracted any diseases from the needle. Understandably, she suffered considerable anxiety and distress whilst those results were awaited.

Fortunately the tests were negative, but Mrs A still received a four figure personal injury compensation award for her injuries.
